Manifestos

I’m Lon Lomba, an artist based in Oakland, California. My work is shaped by a life lived in motion—years spent hitchhiking from coast to coast, collecting stories, faces, and the quiet strangeness of the in-between places. Those journeys gave me a lens colored by Daoist stillness, absurdist humor, and a surrealist’s curiosity. Images, for me, are more than likeness—they are vessels for memory, spirit, and the narratives we carry…

Dada Manifesto

To put out a manifesto you must want: ABC … sign, shout, swear…I write a manifesto and I want nothing…I am against action… I am neither for nor against and I do not explain because I hate common sense. Logic is a complication. Logic is always wrong.

Situationist Manifesto

all-or-nothing rejection of the existing social order and frames “real progress” as blocked without a revolutionary solution…Against the spectacle situationist culture introduces total participation.

No Manifesto

No to spectacle. No to virtuosity. No to style. No to camp.No to moving or being moved…
